Das Dreieck, 1992

“The Rhine-Neckar-Triangle is a polycentric metropolitan region located in south western Germany. It has a population of some 2.4 million with major cities being Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg. Martin Zeller took his photographs in bright sunlight or deep in the night. Their colours, pale or vibrant, reflect the artificiality of the industrial landscapes. Without a single soul to be seen, yet, his images are full of traces and indications of the human being. His photographs reflect the change of a region without the attempt to preserve the past.”

Zellermayer Galerie, Berlin, 1994

The project includes 100 images. The original works were printed on Ilfochrome, 48 x 60 cm (19.9 x 23.6 in.), 80 x 100 cm (31.5 x 39.4 in.) or 120 x 150 cm (47.2 x 59 in.) in an edition of 10.
